€5,000 for Children with Cancer

The colorful hot air balloon that decorated the BIOG & NATURATA stand at the Foire Agricole in Ettelbrück was a real eye-catcher. It was handcrafted over the course of around 150 hours by René Metz and his wife Marianne.

Ten years ago, René Metz founded the association Modellballonen Lëtzebuerg, whose mission is to support charitable organizations through fundraising initiatives. Instead of accepting payment for his work, he asks clients to make a donation to a good cause.

In recognition of this remarkable commitment, BIOG & NATURATA presented a cheque for €5,000 to the Fondatioun Kriibskrank Kanner during the Foire Agricole on Saturday.

"We are delighted and deeply grateful for this generous donation," said Edmée Becker of the Fondatioun Kriibskrank Kanner. "On behalf of the many children and families we support across Luxembourg, we sincerely thank René Metz as well as NATURATA and BIOG for their valuable contribution."

For BIOG & NATURATA, the donation was also a cause close to their hearts. "With this contribution, we hope to help bring moments of joy and hope to children with cancer and their families. Our heartfelt thanks go to René Metz and his wife Marianne for their remarkable craftsmanship and for their generous decision to forgo payment in order to support this charitable project," said Ralf Leifgen, Chairman of the Board of the Oikopolis Group, which includes NATURATA and Biogros, the distributors of BIOG products.
